ABOUT PAL OF TEXAS

Police Activities League (PAL) of Texas was formed in October 1990 as a charitable 501 (C) 3 nonprofit organization focusing on juvenile crime prevention. Our primary mission is to help deter juvenile crime by fostering personal interaction between law enforcement officers and youth through education, recreation, and mentoring activities. Local PAL programs afford youth the opportunity to gain self-esteem and a positive attitude toward police officers, our laws and society.
PAL is a national organization that originated in England and migrated in 1914 to the city of New York. Over the years it has grown to over 365 chapters nationwide, and PAL of Texas is one of only 7 states having a statewide PAL. PAL of Texas developed an outdoor outreach program working closely with Texas Parks and Wildlife over the years to develope and implement our outdoor outreach education program serving both inner-city and rural area youth from around the state, teaching valuable life skills through the great outdoors.
Through this partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife, our outdoor outreach program will be able to continue at the Game Warden Training Academy (formerly the PAL of Texas Youth Ranch). Construction is taking place at the site but it is our desire to have it accessable for local PAL program in the summers as soon as the majority of construction is complete.
PAL of Texas is excited about the future of PAL and the future of the local PAL programs across our great state. PAL chapters across the State are working hard to continue providing an excellent program to youth in their areas. They need your help through donations and volunteers in order to continue their mission.
